TOWN GOVERNMENT
The town of Allagash is managed by three-elected selectmen, along with an elected town clerk, treasurer and tax collector. There are also several appointed positions, such as fire chief, code enforcement and a planning board.In 1993, the town office, fire and ambulance departments were relocated from two separate buildings into the closed Allagash School building, which has been renamed "The Allagash Municipal Center.
