HUNTING
The area offers hunting adventures for partridge, moose, deer and bear during the fall season.The Allagash and the North Maine Woods are well known as Big Buck Country. Your hunt is sure to be a challenge as you walk through our thick forests and hardwood ridges. Our local businesses provide accommodations that are completely modern or remote and limited, the choice is yours.
You can also take part in our local "Big Buck Contest and possibly take home a cash prize along with your big buck.
Our local master-guides are busy preparing the sites with bait, making them active before you arrive. Bear hunts are available for both bow and rifle hunters.
Only one thing can be said about the Allagash area and moose hunts; "If you want a moose, Allagash is the place to come!"
