VETERAN'S MEMORIAL
In 1997, the Allagash Veteran's Memorial Committee was formed to undertake numerous fundraisers needed to raise the $17,000.00 for a tribute to our town's Veterans.
After three years of hard work, the Allagash Veterans Memorial was unveiled on July4, l999 in a ceremony of honor and celebration, which was attended by more than three hundred people. The monument honors veterans form the Civil War, World War 1, World War 11, Korea, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf.As part of the monument, donations towards engraved memory bricks can be made. These bricks make up the walkway around the monument.
