Houlton Building Complex




The Houlton Building Complex consists of three buildings: The Houlton District Court, The Aroostook County Jail and the Aroostook County Superior Court.



The Houlton District Court Building, located on the corner of Military and School Streets, houses offices and the courtroom for the Houlton District Court. Probation and Parole, the Maine Juvenile Intake Office, U.S. Army Recruitment Office, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) and the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.





The Jail Facility is located on the corner of Military and Broadway Streets and houses the Correction Division of the Aroostook County Sheriff's Department. The Jail Administrator, Jail Nurse, Training and Dispatch also maintain offices in this building.






The Aroostook County Superior Court Building on the corner of Military and Court Streets, is listed in the Register of National Historic Buildings. The Maine Superior Court and their offices, Aroostook County Registry of Deeds (South) and Registry of Probate are all located in this building. Also the Aroostook County Sheriff's Department has several offices on the first and second floors.
